Bio: Beth (Bich Minh) Nguyen is the author of the memoir Stealing Buddha's Dinner, the novels Short Girls and Pioneer Girl, and the forthcoming.

She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and an American Book Award, and her work has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Time, and Best American Essays.

Nguyen is a professor of creative writing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
